a bit about me

Hello and  welcome to my blog.

Let me introduce myself….

I  am the desi (Indian) living abroad with two kids and a husband whose job takes him and us places. Sometimes more than we’d like but then that’s life.

I often get asked “Where is home?”  I am not so sure anymore. After moving four countries and 12 houses in the last ten years the term ‘home’ has come to mean many things to me. Home where I grew up and that got left behind but is never forgotten, home where my children grew up and call their own, home that I am setting up now, a home that I’d like to have one day.

Writing is just one of the ways I cope with the joys and madness that comes with being constantly on the move. Books ,music , movies  and art are the other ways.

So here you will find random musings on living the ex-pat life and other stuff. It’s about finding my feet in Prague but not confined to it. I haven’t said good-bye to London yet ( I am terrible at good-byes), there are some distant memories of a time spent on the East coast in the US and then there’s Mumbai and the rest of India  always hovering in the background.
